this sub-website!
My
aims behind the sub-websites are to hopefully
help out with the more specialized side of the
fancy, this will include more in-depth articles
and resources for those who have gone a couple
of steps forward within their hobby, I also
hope that the less specialized bird keepers
will enjoy this journey too and can hopefully
learn a thing or two in the process. This
is the first sub-website within a series on
various specie groups with this one being on
the Agapornis (lovebird) species.
Within
the lovebirds there are 9 species and I hope
to cover all species in-depth, from their history
in aviculture to breeding and exhibiting on
the show bench.
In
no way am I an expert on these species, however
with the knowledge I have gained over many years
in the fancy and with the help of other lovebird
breedersetc. I will try my best to cover them
in a more enlightening way.
Some
of the more common species such as the peach
face & Fischer have been much documented
over the years, however I feel only within a
more generalized manner so I will attempt to
gather only the more helpful information available
as well as from my own experiences in keeping
and breeding these species.
The
sub-websites will be an ongoing process, slowly
gathering the decent available information and
